Pack County District Camps

A few cubs went orienteering at Knaresborough and collected some conkers on route.

On Sunday 18th June the cubs went to Ellerton to try some earth and water activities. They had a go at climbing, orienteering, mountain biking, archery, soft air shooting, canoeing, sailing and bellboating.

On Mothers Day, North Yorkshire Scouts had the opportunity to go to Aerial Extreme at Bedale to try out the Adventure Ropes Course and the under 10's where able to try the Budding Extremists course. All those that took part had a great time and received a souvenir for their efforts. Thanks to Tim Dowd for the Photo's.

On Sunday 9th October the cubs attended the county Cub Scout Activity Day at Thirsk school. 250 cubs tried a variety of activities including making woven woggles, croquet, faiths, IT badge work, friendship bracelets, mapping bingo, Christmas crafts, mirror writing, playing in the scout band and making some very realistic black eyes and flesh wounds, which gave some parents a bit of a shock when it was time to collect their children. We were entertained at the close of the day by a group of jugglers, the Tolthorpe Juniors, who demonstrated their excellent circus skills.
